Your Bajocchi Jewelry on a day to day basis

Whether you wear them on a daily basis or only for special occasions, your pieces of Bajocchi jewelry are precious objects that require your full care.

Follow the instructions below to keep your jewelry in picture perfect condition:

  • Allow yourself enough time to handle your jewelry carefully.
  • When washing your hands, putting perfume or face cream, make sure you remove your jewelry (especially pearls), the particles present in these cosmetics may become lodged in cavities and form a corrosive blend that in the long term might deteriorate the metal.
  • Regular contact with detergents or insecticides may damage pearls and certain precious stones.
  • Products with mercury like mercurochrome causes irreversible damage to gold.
  • Don’t wear your jewelry on the beach, at the swimming pool or play sport with it to avoid knocks and scratches. Also avoid wearing them when doing housework and gardening.
  • Avoid wearing several rings together on the same finger, or your tennis bracelet with your watch on the same side.
  • Ensure you do not expose your jewelry to intense heat, x-rays or any other sources of radioactivity.

Some Precautions

Before putting on your piece of jewelry, make sure of the following:

  • The clasp (and its safety catch if it has one) is not loose.
  • The settings of the stones has not moved , u can checked that as follows:

- shake the piece of jewelry close to your ear, if you hear a faint noise, that means the stones are no longer perfectly secured.

Maintaining and storing your jewelry

  • Your jewelry should be cleaned regularly to maintain its shine.
  • If your jewelry contains any type of stones like lapis lazuli, turquoise, coral, emeralds and pearls, or in general any cluster of stones your piece should be entrusted to one of our specialists for handling.
  • If it does not contain any type of these stones, you can clean it yourself. Scrub the jewelry delicately with a very small soft brush in lukewarm soapy water, then rinse it with lukewarm water and wipe it with a soft clean cloth.
  • Pieces of Jewelry become scratched when they come in contact with one another. So it's advisable to store them individually.
  • Chains should be closed and laid flat to avoid the formation of knots.
